Children grow, play and develop in different ways. Parents visit Whipbird Wellness for many reasons, from everyday aches and growing pains to sports injuries and support for babies.

Gentle Bowen Therapy may help babies settle and move more comfortably. Every baby is different, and treatment is always adapted to their individual needs.

Children can experience aches, growing pains, posture changes and movement restrictions as they grow. Bowen Therapy aims to support comfortable movement during these stages.

Muscle tension around the neck and jaw may contribute to headaches or discomfort. Bowen Therapy uses gentle moves that may help reduce tension and improve comfort.

Running, gymnastics, dance and other activities place demands on growing bodies. Bowen Therapy may support recovery from minor strains and movement restrictions.
Absolutely. All treatments are very gentle in application, with no force or manipulation.
No. Children can move, chat and take breaks. All children are welcome to lie down, however treatment is adapted to them, not the other way around. This may look like you holding your baby, playing on the floor with your toddler, or your child sitting on your lap. Our goal is to ensure your and your child are comfortable.
Absolutely. We require a parent/guardian to be present with all children
Depending on the age of the child, your first appointment will be 30-60mins. We will have plenty of time for questions and I will explain what I'm doing as we go. Ongoing appointments will be approx 20-45mins.
Every child is different. (Your child may be 3 yrs old and have constipation, 11yrs old and severe anxiety, 15yrs old and recovering from a sporting accident or a tiny newborn still processing trauma from birth - each of these will have individual treatment process.) After the first appointment, Laura will discuss what she thinks is appropriate based on your child's presentation and goals.
Loose, comfortable clothing is ideal...but if your child is determined to come in their favourite dress up outfit, that's ok too!
