A gentle, personalised approach to pain, tension, stress and restricted movement.
Bowen Therapy is a gentle, hands-on treatment technique that uses small, precise movements over muscles, tendons and connective tissue. Between each series of moves, there are short pauses, giving your body time to respond before treatment continues.

Treatment uses light, precise moves and is designed to be comfortable, making it suitable for people who prefer a gentler approach.

Every appointment begins with listening to your concerns and assessing how your body is moving, so your treatment is tailored to your individual needs.

Short pauses between sets of Bowen moves are an important part of the treatment, giving you time to relax before treatment continues.

Bowen Therapy can be adapted to suit different ages and needs, from babies and children through to adults and older people.
Bowen Therapy may support people experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal pain, movement restrictions and stress-related tension.
Every person is different, so treatment is always tailored to your individual needs.

Bowen Therapy can be helpful for people experiencing back, neck, shoulder, hip or other musculoskeletal pain, stiffness and restricted movement.

Gentle treatment may help ease muscular tension associated with headaches, neck tension and jaw discomfort.

Bowen Therapy offers a quiet, gentle treatment that can support relaxation for people experiencing stress, physical tension or feelings of anxiety.

Treatment can be tailored to support movement and comfort following physical strain, overuse or injury, and as you return to the activities you enjoy.
Where you feel pain isn't always the only place worth looking.
When you come in for Bowen Therapy, I look at more than the area that's bothering you.
I consider how you stand and move, where there may be restriction or imbalance, and whether other areas of your body may be contributing to what you're experiencing.
This helps me build a broader picture of what's happening and tailor your Bowen treatment to what I find, rather than simply treating the painful area in isolation.
Where appropriate, I may also suggest simple movement, postural or self-care strategies to support you between appointments.

Your first appointment starts with taking the time to understand what has brought you in. We’ll talk about your health history, what you’re experiencing and how it may be affecting your movement or day-to-day activities. I’ll then assess how your body is moving before providing gentle Bowen Therapy tailored to what I find and your individual needs.

Bowen Therapy can generally be performed through light, comfortable clothing. Loose clothing that allows you to move easily is ideal. Avoid denim jeans or tight-fitting active wear
Bowen Therapy uses gentle, precise movements rather than forceful manipulation. Treatment is generally comfortable, and I adapt the pressure and approach to suit you.
Generally, appointment times differ for a baby (20mins), child/teenager (30-45mins) and an adult (60mins). Please allow an extra 15 minutes for your first appointment. This extra time allows for a little more discussion and assessment prior to treatment.
There isn't a set number that suits everyone. It depends on what has brought you in, how long it has been affecting you and how you respond to treatment. We'll discuss how you're progressing and whether another appointment may be useful rather than putting you on a predetermined treatment plan.
